Ouch

The bodice has its lining attached and has been flipped. Just need to sew straps together and hand sew openings closed. Woot. Might just get to the sleeves tonight. That is if I can stop trying to sew my own finger. I am now the proud owner of a hole in my finger. Yes the sewing machine can sew through flesh. And yes this will break your needle.

O_o. Ouch indeed! I'm still surprised I haven't managed to sew through my own finger, but I'm sure it'll happen eventually! Congratulations; you have managed to accomplish something not everyone has...I mean, how many people can go round saying that they've sewn their own finger, honestly? ;)

Easy way to do it is to be concentrating really hard on getting as close as possible to the piping on a curve and use a zipper foot. Or at least thats how I did it.
