sleeve pondering

I have my sleeve pattern figured out. I like how it fits! The striping process still needs a bit more pondering. I decided (at least for now) to cut the pattern up into strips and use it for my pattern for the sleeve strips.  It seemed the most logical to me. The only problem I still have is down on the forearm part because my pattern is not a straight arm pattern. I didn't want it to be. I want to be able to move my arm and not feel like a zombie or have limited motion. But if I cut my pattern into strips the will be diagonal at my forearms.....  Ponder ponder ponder.... Suggestions?

Sorry, I have nothing I can say about sleeves, except good luck! I'm so bad at making sleeves, it's funny. Sleeves mock me; they look at e and laugh. But hearing about progress is always good!
And you know you want to give into the temptation of a 60s dress...:)
