Curious where others have bough their broderie Anglaise lace, if you ever have. I have found some but I am not 100% thrilled by it. I would hate to commit just because I don't know of another source.
Same with the Cambric. Does that go by any other name? My goggle-fu is not working for it. I have only found a type of china and a dust cover.... not exactly what I think of when I am thinking fine lingerie. Any help is GREATLY APPRECIATED.

I don't think it's possible to get cambric anymore, at least not without a big price tag. Lawn would be the nearest cotton weave, or a very good hanky linen.

I'm really fussy about broderie anglais. It used to be much better quality than what's mostly available now. I've had some luck getting vintage stuff on ebay

Linen cambric can also be found at ecclesiastical suppliers. much as I'd love it I wouldn't want to pay for it

*faints* ummm yea I can't afford that..... I think I will go with the lawn you suggested. I am also look at vintage broderie anglais. I like the look of what I have seen. JUst haven't found that perfect one yet.

i would check etsy and ebay for the lace. search "antique cotton lace". chances are, most sellers aren't sophisticated enough to know technical names!

I don't know why I didn't think of that! Put that into the search and your are right. From just listing it as cotton lace to wrong spellings to calling it eyelet lace. Thank you!
