Mar. 22nd, 2012 11:40 amNormally I don't like sewing for my family when they ask me too. No I am not just a big ol meanie. It's just the only time they think my hobby is cool is when they want something sewn. My mom will give snide comments like, "She STILL plays dress up." So I just feel like screw you..... Does anyone else feel that way???? There are two exceptions to this. The hubby because no matter what I come up with he supports me, (may not show much interest beside "oh thats nice", but I don't show much in his cartoons so we're even) and allows me to get anything I need for it as long as we can afford it....
And my dad. BUT come on my dad is pure awesome. Anytime I don't know how to construct something he helps me. My feathered shoulder harness for my Queen of Hearts costume, dad helped with the plastic supports and bending them.
Sanding and shaping a large piece of cork

to help me with making my chopines. Yep that would be my dad.

So when he asks me to sew him something, I like to help him. His latest project for me was adding straps and magazine holders to his Zombie Apocalypse MOLE pack.
Yea... my dad is awesome....
