I'm a bit behind on my sewing. My goal for today was to hem the ball gown. Assemble all the middle bits on the skirt. Attach them. Trim the skirt. And mock up my sleeves. I hemmed the skirts and assembled 5 out of 7. Hand tacking the trim down is taking me AGES!!!!

So before 6ish on Friday I need to finish the middle bits, and attach them, Mock up, assemble and attach sleeves, add trim to skirt of ball gown, hem the tea gown, attach sleeve cuffs to the tea gown and pack... aCK!!!!

Random question: any suggestions on how can I antique the slide buckles?
My dad suggested soaking them in vinegar. If they are of a decent metal and not covered in a paint or lacquer the acid does the antiquing trick within minutes. But these are cheaper ones so they do have a coating. I won't be able to do it before Saturday, but it bugs me enough that before I wear it again I want to try something. Preferably not buying new ones....
