Taking a small break to give my back a rest and then make dinner. I only have one more 'feather' to bead and then the hoop comes off. I'm getting there!!!! I took a pic I wanted to share. It's a close up and it shows the variation in the bead colors better. I don't think it captures it quite as well as my eyes do, but they don't read as solid black. Under the cut so I could still keep it big but not to mess up your page.

Those are amazing beads! Really excellent choice to complement the unusual peacock color of the silk, too.

I'm just taking a break - I'm getting close to being done on the front. It's been so slow this week for some reason. Oh, and now that I'm not working on the hoop, I've begun pinning it to a sofa cushion. Still sitting on the floor, it raises the whole thing much closer to my eyes.

I always saw the pattern reminiscent of the eye of a peacock feather. I think that's where my color scheme came from. Besides blue and green being in my top favorite colors.
I am off the hoop now. It's moving sooooo much slower. Even with pinning it to something it doesn't keep as much tension. And it's got some weight now. I maybe overthinking things but I really hope that doesn't mess things up.
