Sep. 8th, 2014 08:08 pmMundane Monday's is up.
Hubby and I went to Salt Lake Comic Con over the weekend. Quick sum up (beause I really, really, really, need to get back to homework):
- Hubby's dad bailed on us so our plan of driving to his house after I got out of school at 10p.m. was for nothing. We had to figure out the Long term parking real quick and in a hurry. Plus side to that is its not to hard if we ever have to do it again. Downside was it was money we hadn't planned for. BOOO!
- Grossly underestimated 405 traffic. I doubled (and then some) what it normally takes us in normal traffic. We left his Dad's house at 7:30 and our flight was suppose to leave at 9:56. We got up to the ticket counter with 36 mins before our flight. At 30 mins before the flight they no longer let you put your baggage on the plane. Our counter lady didn't let us even though we were techniquely not late yet. BLAH! We could either bump our flight back or go without bags, which wasn't an option..... so we had to bump our flight, More money we hadn't planned for. Luckily that was the worst of the vacation.
- The Con was similiar in size to Comikaze or WonderCon but they are growing faster then they can keep up with. We waited in line for hours on Thursday and didn't even get to go on the Con floor. They closed at 8 and even turned off the lights as we were standing in line. They were quick to remedy their mistake and allowed all those who were still in line and had been standing in line for HOURS to get their badges, but it still sucked a bit. I'm just glad we decided to switch our costume line up to plain T-shirts on Thursday. I don't think I could of took standing in line in my Victorian boots.
- Friday we wore Steampunk. I didn't get any pictures of the back even though thats my favorite part. DOH! My ankles lasted most of the day but my corset started to dig into me really badly. I actually have sores and bruising on my lower back, I guess its time to admit defeat and make a new one.

Sunday we flew and then drove back home. So it was a quick and short Vacation but fun! Today was back to school for me and back to work for my Hubby. Unfortunatly there is no easing back in, I have three tests this week. ACK! So I should get back to homework.

-Saturday I wore my Captain America again, and
gilded_garb joined me in Version 1 of her Iron Man. I'm super jealous of her Arc Reactor! Also she made her daughter a Wasp costume OMG!!!! adorable!!!!! I feel weird about sharing pictures of other people's kids, while putting it on blast that this is so and so's kid, so you'll just have to believe me, she was suuuuuuuper cute!
I wasn't able to find a lot of Captain America's, so I wasn't able to keep up my tradition of taking a Picture with ALL THE CAPTAIN AMERICAS but I did get a few good shots. My favorite besides a Selfie with
gilded_garb was this one with Iron Patriot.
