I've been doing some brainstorming for take my Victorian Explorer into the Steampunk realm. This is what I have found.
1. Victorian Pith Helmet- Found this. I like it if I decide to go this route I can use this.
2. Straps and pouches - I have found quite a few I really like, but they are really pricey.... I have found some others I think I could make work
3.I really think I want to ditch the underskirt and go with a pair of vintage jodhpurs. The more I think about it the more I am leaning towards it and I don't know that I will be happy with anything else. Problem..... I don't have a pattern or fabric for this plan, even if I did I don't think I have enough time to do a good job on it. Another flaw with that plan is I would need a kick butt pair of boots.
But I really really want to make a pair to wear under the over dress. Plus some cool pouches/belts slung low over my hips and the pith helmet.... It looks really cool in my head.
