Okay guys, I need help spending my money. Well an American Duchess gift certificate my folks gave me, and she is having a spring clearance. Please help. I usually go with future plans but most of my future plans are cosplays.
To confound this problem, I am addicted and have a lot of them already.
*edited to add what I already have:
Red Stratfords
23 skidoo (I decorated them)
White Astoria
Highbury
White Georgiana
Black Kensington
Black tavistock
So... Either a.)which ones would you get and if I don't have them I will splurge even though I don't have a future costume planned.
Or b.) what era do you want to see me do and this is a round about way of telling me.
C.) shoes!!!! Window shopping is fun and spending others money is even more fun, and pretties!!!! ;)

Date: 2015-04-15 05:09 pm (UTC)They're my #1 favorite shoe of her offerings but I have no interest in the period at all. They just look so amazing!
I just ordered boots for 1860s and regency, and pre-ordered the new 18c style since I, you know, do all those periods...but if I were picking a shoe just based on awesomeness it'd be the Stratford every time.

Date: 2015-04-15 05:23 pm (UTC)The new 18th century ones are hands-down the best I've ever seen for all the fancy 1780s stuff that costumers tend to focus on. I have a small gift certificate and I think it's going to them!

Date: 2015-04-15 06:01 pm (UTC)I myself am thrilled to BITS about the Dunmores (and might order a pair of each, because I have a gift cert from Christmas, ummmmmm), but I also really like the Bronte slippers and the Gettysburg boots! I think, too, those are footwear with a particular "look" that's harder to fake with modern cheap shoes.
